Susan Dunn PT, WCS, CEO, Founder

Susan Dunn PT, WCS, CEO, Founder
(she/her/hers)
Susan earned her Physical Therapy degree from the University of Louisville and holds a bachelor’s degree from Northern Kentucky University and a master’s from the University of North Carolina–Greensboro. She has been practicing in the Louisville area since 1997. In addition to owning her own practice since 2001, Susan is a Board Certified Women’s Health Specialist (WCS) and an active member with the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), Kentucky Physical Therapy Association, National Women’s Health Section, Private Practice Section of the APTA, International Pelvic Pain Society, International Continence Society, and International Children’s Continence Society.
Susan has spent her entire career focusing on research and clinical practice in the areas of pelvic health for women, men, and children, and women’s health issues. This coupled with a specialization in spine has allowed her to grow her clinical skills to become a recognized leader in the Greater Louisville area for the diagnosis and treatment of these conditions.
Susan has also been recognized at the national level and was featured in a cover story for the Physical Therapy Magazine, which is a nationwide magazine of the American Physical Therapy Association. Susan has had the opportunity to be published in a variety of media and very much enjoys lecturing at the local, regional, and state levels to health care providers and to the public to continually promote, educate, and empower her audience with the knowledge to address pelvic health and women’s health issues completely.
On a daily basis, Susan strives to create an environment at Dunn Physical Therapy where patients feel they are individuals receiving one-on-one care and feel empowered with the knowledge to be an active partner in their care with their clinician. She subscribes to the philosophy that your patients “don’t care what you know until they know that you care.” Today’s health care environment is forever changing and not always for the better. But at Dunn Physical Therapy, Susan and her team work every day to make sure that every patient that walks through our doors will know that we care.
Susan and her staff collectively have more experience and training in their areas of specialization than any other facility in the Greater Louisville area and she is honored to be the head of, and a part of, the Dunn Physical Therapy team.
In her free time Susan enjoys time with her husband, children, and dog, especially if that involves camping trips, running, or travel.

Andrea received her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Western Kentucky University and then went on to achieve her Physical Therapy Assistant degree from Jefferson Community and Technical College. Her passion has always been with sports and overall wellness, which prompted her to seek a nutrition certificate in Dietetics in 2009 from Eastern Kentucky University.
Andrea has participated in high-end athletics the majority of her life. I am honored and blessed to facilitate care and it truly is a rewarding opportunity to be in the position that I am.”
Andrea is a proud 2013 and 2014 Louisville Ironman finisher and continues to compete in triathlons nationwide as well as in road racing. She uses this passion and discipline that she has with sports and applies it to her work in physical therapy. Her career focus has been on orthopedics, sports injury and training protocols, and women’s health diagnoses including pelvic dysfunction and prenatal and post-partum conditions. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the Kentucky Physical Therapy Association, and the International Pelvic Pain Society.

Alexa Elliott PT, DPT
Physical Therapist
Alexa Elliott PT, DPT
Physical TherapistAlexa is originally from Southern Indiana. She developed her interest in physical therapy through her love for sports and growing up playing travel volleyball. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science at Indiana University Bloomington and went on to complete University of Kentucky’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Following her recent graduation and board certification, Alexa has officially joined the Dunn-ProRehab group!
Alexa initially developed an interest in pelvic floor physical therapy while enrolled in a specialty elective at UK. Eager to continue her pelvic health education, she moved to Nashville, TN to complete her clinical rotation in a pelvic health specialty clinic. Her passion was solidified while working alongside talented pelvic floor physical therapists, and clinical mentor, who demonstrated a skillful approach in connecting orthopedic and pelvic floor treatments. During this time, she realized the educational impact she could have on individuals with pelvic floor dysfunction and the benefits in approaching treatment through a pelvic health lens. She has continued advancing her education, becoming Level I certified with the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Institute, and is working towards her Pelvic Health Specialist Certification.
Alexa now resides in Louisville, KY with her fiancé, Nic, their dog Wrigley, and cats, Binx and Cece. She is a collector of house plants, enjoys all things outdoors, and is a lover of animals. As she enters her DPT profession with the Dunn-ProRehab group, she hopes to add to the collective effort in normalizing the discussion and treatment of pelvic floor health. She is committed to advocating for all pelvises and sharing her passion for patient education.

She has also been a practicing massage therapist since 2011. In the field of massage therapy, she is certified in prenatal massage, clinical orthopedic manual therapy, and sports massage. She is an avid weightlifter and a member of the CrossFit community. While performing massage therapy on her weightlifting friends, she realized that she wanted to be able to offer more for her patients. She is now double-licensed as both a PTA and as a Massage Therapist.
Fleur is very passionate about learning how our bodies work, and about teaching others what she has learned. Pelvic health physical therapy is the perfect place to do just that. She is pelvic health certified through Herman and Wallace, Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. Fleur believes that everyone with a pelvic floor deserves to know how to properly care for it. The pelvic region and core are integral parts of body movement as a whole, and dysfunction in these areas can affect every part of a person’s life.
